Join us for a project tour of the Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Administrative Facility.
This project consists of two buildings for Sarasota County Parks, Recreation, & Natural Resources - one dedicated to administrative offices and the other designed for multipurpose use - both utilizing a pre-engineered metal building structure. The bent frames, prominently showcased at the ends of each building, are highlighted in Sarasota County green, reinforcing their distinctive visual identity. The cadence of the administrative building’s facade is shaped by the layout required for management offices. To further accentuate this rhythm, the metal panels transition seamlessly between varying profiles at each window jamb, adding depth and texture to the design. The project is on track to achieve LEED Silver certification, reflecting its commitment to sustainability. A solar array will be installed on the roof, providing renewable energy to reduce the building’s environmental footprint. In the open office spaces, the ceiling follows the roof pitch, strategically opening the north façade to maximize natural light, enhancing the sense of spaciousness and connectivity to the surrounding environment.
The Admin building has open offices for collaboration, natural lighting, wellness and outdoor spaces. The Multipurpose building is available for public use by reservation, will be used for summer camps, and county meetings.
