Historic Courtroom was taken out of service some 8 years ago, when the new Judicial Center was competed - the existing courtroom space was then abandoned. The original benches were salvaged and restored to original condition. All of the 1950's interior renovations, including removal of a suspended ceiling which concealed the existing 2 story exterior windows, had all but destroyed the original interior and were removed to reveal historic details. The new completely renovated interior now includes a restored historic ceiling, wall and flooring materials, designed to match original finishes and colors; new concealed state of the art audio and visual aids; new concealed AC ventilation; new lighting, ceiling fans and window blinds designed to match originals where possible, and includes a separate Museum Display Space, contiguous with the Courtroom's Spectator Gallery.
