Rob Szatkowski from Sealoflex will present a one hour CEU Waterproofing the Entire Building Envelope. This course explains how the AIA HSW definitions are met and the advantages of these techniques for waterproofing the entire building envelope. Attendees will gain knowledge on the history and technology of coatings, use of coatings, energy savings, the use of spray equipment, and waterproofing roofs, walls, and decks with liquid applied coatings with fabric reinforcement.

The learning objectives of this session include:

Ability to describe how various coatings can help achieve energy efficiency by use of performance / reflectivity or by use of green roofs. (Environmental, Occupancy Comfort Issues)
Ability to describe how various building codes strive to ensure proper application techniques in relation to building integrity (ex: wind, water intrusion) (Legal Issues, Construction documents, Environmental Issues)
An understanding on how preservation, renovation, and reuse can be applied to roofing and wall coating techniques (Preservation, Environmental Issues)
Ability to describe how roofing or wall systems help achieve the objective of sustainable design. (Ex: Solutions other than complete tear offs, solutions including recoats.) (Pre-Design, Environmental, Legal Issues)
